The visist to the museum in Warsaw was a very remarkable event. The museum is located at the market square in the center of the Old Town a renowned monument in the history of Warsaw comprising of the Kings court among other important buildings and features.
In the museum there were many artifacts and monuments but the one that caught my attention the most was the design of the city soon after the invasion of Germany during world war 2 and years after its rebuilding. The 2 designs tell a story that thousand words could not adequately describe.
Firstly the first design shows ashes and a sign of no life or hope . The walls are crumbling down , there is so much destruction although there are remains which can give a certain type of hope that there could be a good ;life afterwards the picture shows hopelessness. The city lies in ruins and the beauty is gone, I could literally feel my tears drop down as I stared at this devasted city lying in ruins.
The other imagination that comes is what could have happened to the human life in this place , being such a huge city with city walls and industrial trade going on there was defininetly millions of people living. In the other segment all the human turns to ashes giving a pictire that so much was lost in this era. Not only was it builings and inftrsature but also life which meant a lot to the people and their loved ones was taken away. This in essence is no surprise because in war ruthless regimes are capable of such despicable acts but the idea that this was done on innocent soil is more daunting. It clearly shows why most museums in Warsaw are full of historical artifacts related to war.
I looked closely and on the other side there was a proper structure , a glance at the second photo could literally melt down every frowning face and bring back a simle on ones face. There has been no hope whatsoever looking at the city in Ashes but what follows is a remarkable photograph.
The city stands back again to its original stage , what fascinates the most is that it was not built randomly but it was built back to its original state , the state in what it used to be and that is rick upon brick and layer upon layer. It takes a lopt of engineering work to come up with such models and be able to rebuild something destroyed to all those magnitute. I marvel at the level of proffesionalism that Polish architectures display in this building , they make sure that the city is completed and stands forever reflecting the beauty that gives people that they could like happily better again .
There is so much I could decypher from these two wonderful architectural designs. As I earlier said the first thing is that there is a possibility that anything good can be done with in a twinkle of an eye . Be it a city , life or any other creation , the ashes to me reflect that there is no reverasl to whatever we love. Despite that fact there is a good thing that the human mind can never stop to create and in certain instances it actually creates something more beautiful that before. We can try to hold on to things that were taken from our lives or things that we loved so dealy but were destroyed. As devastating as it seems there seems to rise something more powerful and more beautiful than those things we used to hold on too.
The other thing I so admire about these articacts is that they are white despite the origianl buildings not being white neither the time the bombing happened . White is a lively colour which is mainly associated light and positivity. The city might have laid in ruins but the architect displayed it in a beautiful way that nobody notices its dullness. It ceates a perfect feature which draws interest as well as the lively chararcters it carries . Apart from the colour , the asymetries in this designs potray a well organized architect that is a marvel to watch and admire.
Lastly displaying these two designs side by side is a great way of telling the story in full . There is a dullness at first and a happy moment that comes afterwards , for me that was a great takeaway.
