Fading Comedian Ray Vines is facing an angry backlash from twitter users nenyaya yekutuka someone with albinism. In a tweet posted this morning , he wrote “ Ndosaka uchishisha ukarohwa nezuva” in response to a twitter user who had called him out
CCC MP Fadzai Mahere responded to Ray vines and wrote “This is never acceptable. Stop it!” . Several other users have reminded him that Albinism is not a choice but a disability condition which one cannot choose hence making fun of it is considered inhuman.
Others tried to point out that Solomon Harudzibwi was in the wrong but this does not grant anyone any right to have a conversation based on each other’s permanent condition which they did not applied for but was just given to them.
Ray Vines has also been facing a backlash from Winky D fans earlier this week after he mentioned that his idea to sing in a boxing ring on new year’s eve was was initially his .
These two cases seem to prove that. Ray Vines is trying so hard to revive his career by picking fights against people but it is always backfiring as his big mouth isn’t doing him any good.
It is very important as a community to educate each other about disabilities and making sure that people with Albinism do not face verbal abuse because of ignorance. This is very important as the Albinism community has faced a lot of traditional persecution due to ignorance in the past.
