Cape Town, South Africa – Popular social media personalities Better Kudakwashe Madhuyu and his wife, Kylie Tonsani, known by their followers as Tytie and Kiki, have been dealt a significant blow in the High Court. The celebrity couple lost a defamation case after being found guilty of spreading false information online.

The legal action was brought against the couple by lawyer Moreboys Munetsi, who accused them of defaming his character by labeling him as “evil” and a “liar” on their social media platforms. In addition to the damaging accusations, Tytie and Kiki reportedly shared Munetsi’s personal mobile number with their large online following, leading to further harassment.

Munetsi took the matter seriously and reported the incident to Sandton Police Station. The case eventually made its way to the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division, in Cape Town, where it was heard under case number 16255/2024.

Represented by Advocate Isiah Mureriwa, with legal instructions from Simbarashe Kanyoka, Munetsi successfully argued his case. The court ruled in his favor, finding Tytie and Kiki guilty of peddling falsehoods and causing unwarranted harm to Munetsi’s reputation.
