Jasper Anesu Munikwa, a man who also goes by the name Anesu Marcus Mazorodze, has been exposed in a shocking scandal that has left over 35 women devastated and out of pocket.
Known by his alias, “Mahobho,” this former security guard from Dubai, who was deported and later relocated to South Africa, managed to swindle 5 million rands from these women through an elaborate web of lies.
His victims, charmed by his stories, were led to believe that he was a successful pilot whose bank accounts had been frozen. This deception prompted many of them to send him large sums of money to “help” him through his supposed financial troubles.
Mahobho crafted a persona that made him appear affluent and successful, despite his modest background as a security guard.
To add credibility to his lies, he would often claim he was in the process of buying expensive gifts, such as cars, for the women he deceived. This promise of luxury and his seemingly prestigious career as a pilot made his stories hard to doubt. Many of the women felt they were investing in a serious relationship, only to find out that they had been manipulated by a master con artist.
The details of his past life are equally questionable. Munikwa had worked as a security guard in Dubai before being deported, which raises questions about his integrity even before his move to South Africa.
However, instead of starting afresh, he chose to weave a series of falsehoods, targeting women who believed in his fabricated tales. The extent of his deceit is staggering, with victims spread across various regions, all contributing to his stolen fortune.
As more women come forward, the scope of Mahobho’s actions is becoming clearer. His manipulation and exploitation of vulnerable women have left many emotionally and financially scarred. The authorities have since launched an investigation into this fraud, with many calling for justice.
