The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed that it will be looking into a matter involving a young woman who was abused at the age of 14 by her uncle.
The issue came to light during the Tinashe Mugabe show when the uncle was seeking paternity clarification. The two young people from Chinhoyi explained their encounter. The young woman said she went to a football match, watched with friends, and drank some beer.
When she got home, she was tipsy, and the uncle came in during the night and forced himself on her without consent. She became pregnant and did not find support from her family.
The uncle claimed that they were in a relationship, but after further questioning from Tinashe Mugabe, he acknowledged the assault. The paternity results revealed that he was indeed the father of the child. Social media uproar was ignored regarding why this issue was not reported and why the family covered for the uncle.
