An Air Zimbabwe Boeing 767-200, operating as a shuttle ambulance under the call sign FSK150, successfully transported injured soldiers from South Africa, Tanzania, and Malawi back to their home countries after they were evacuated from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The troops had been stationed in the DRC when they sustained injuries, necessitating urgent medical transport. Due to ongoing military tensions, the soldiers were first moved from Goma to Kigali, as Goma’s airspace remains a no-go zone. From Kigali, the aircraft, which is chartered out of Kinshasa and leased to Mont Gabon Airlines, began its journey to repatriate the wounded troops.

Following a carefully coordinated flight plan, FSK150 first landed in Tanzania to drop off the injured Tanzanian soldiers before proceeding to Malawi and, finally, South Africa
