The Zimbabwean community is mourning the tragic death of Emmanuel Mahamba, a 29-year-old man originally from Mvuma, Zimbabwe, who was killed in a violent altercation in Rivonia, Johannesburg. The incident, which occurred on Saturday, reportedly stemmed from a romantic dispute involving a Ugandan national.
According to eyewitness accounts, Mahamba and the suspect were involved in a heated confrontation over a woman both men were romantically linked to. The situation escalated when the suspect, described as wearing white during the incident, allegedly struck Mahamba twice with a Ford Ranger vehicle.
Reports indicate that the suspect then reversed and ran over Mahamba multiple times, leaving bystanders in shock.
Emergency services arrived promptly, but despite their efforts, Mahamba was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have since launched a murder investigation and are actively pursuing leads to locate the suspect
