Popular Zimbabwean comedian and actor Charles Mapalume, known to fans as Marabha, has died. He passed away early this morning at Harare Hospital, sources confirmed.
Tributes have begun pouring in across social media, with fellow actor and comedian Shugeta confirming the news. “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved brother and friend Charles Mapalume, also known as Marabha,” he said.
Marabha rose to fame through local comedy skits and drama series that earned him a loyal following for his humor and relatable storytelling.
Actress Regina, who starred alongside him in the drama What Comes Around Goes Around, expressed her grief in a heartfelt message. “Wandirwadzisa umwe wangu wandisiira rondapamoyo. May your soul rest in peace, Marabha,” she said.
