The operation, conducted on Thursday, 24 April 2025, was a collaborative effort between the Limpopo SAPS Anti-Smuggling Team, the Polokwane Tactical Response Team (TRT), and the Hoedspruit Farm Watch.

Among those arrested were five Zimbabwean nationals and one South African, all aged between 31 and 44.

The South African suspect was found in possession of a licensed 9mm firearm, which has been taken for ballistic testing.

A total of 43 boxes of illicit cigarettes were seized during the operation, and the vehicles involved have been confiscated.

These vehicles will be forfeited to the state as part of the ongoing investigation into the smuggling operation.
