Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to stand trial in a closely watched federal case beginning May 5, 2025, at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse in Manhattan.
The trial will kick off with jury selection, followed by opening arguments anticipated around May 12.
A federal judge recently rejected a defence motion seeking a two-month delay, meaning the case will proceed as originally scheduled.
Combs, 55, is facing multiple serious charges, including conspiracy to commit racketeering, s@x trafficking, and interstate transport for illicit purposes. He has entered a plea of not guilty on all five counts brought against him.
Federal prosecutors expect to present their case over roughly three weeks, while Combs’ legal team estimates their defence will take about one week.
Though cameras are prohibited in federal court, the trial is expected to generate widespread public interest, given Combs’ longstanding status as a major figure in the entertainment world.
