ZAOGA Forward in Faith (FIF) has joined forces together with Ministry of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services to create a full technology and digital literacy programme that aims to equip pupils in the school with vital ICT skills.
The program, which spans all levels of education will provide pupils with a strong basis on digital literacy.
This partnership is an element of a larger initiative of the federal government to improve the capabilities of digital technology for our nation’s young people, making sure that they’re well-equipped to compete in a rapidly changing world of technology.
ZAOGA FIF, with its vast network of schools that span in age from Early Childhood Development (ECD) through to the university level, plays a key role within this national digital literacy initiative.
Dr. Steve Simango, the deputy Secretary General for ZAOGA FIF International Ministries, expressed his excitement about this collaboration between the state.
“We are thrilled to be a partner of the government on this ICT education program. It’s heartening to see the accomplishments of our trainees as they leave this program, showing their new capabilities as well as confidence modern world of today,” explained Simango.
This program covers the basics of computer literacy, internet use, programming, along other crucial digital competencies that can aid thousands of children in schools all over the world.
ZAOGA FIF schools have been outfitted with the right infrastructure needed to facilitate this project and ensure that the students can access the latest technological and instructional tools.
Dr. Simango also highlighted the importance of collaboration to create a better future for our coming generations.
“The partnership in partnership with the Ministry is an exciting move to ensure that our children are adequately prepared for the requirements in the age of technology. We’re committed to making an important contribution to creating our country through providing our students with the necessary tools to be successful.”
Teachers and parents have also stated their appreciation for this program, pointing out its transformative effect that it’s had on the students. Numerous have observed an increase in student enthusiasm and interest in technology. This will be vital for their future job future.
This initiative is in line with the goals of government to create being a society that is digitally empowered and is a part of efforts that are underway to increase the accessibility of ICT education throughout the country. When more students complete the program, the partnership between ZAOGA FIF as well as the Ministry will continue expanding, thereby helping build an enduring foundation for the development of digital education in Zimbabwe.
The overall effect of this collaboration is thought to be a first positive step towards establishing a well-trained and technologically proficient workforce. This will ensure that the youth of Zimbabwe can meet new challenges as well as opportunities in our modern-day world.
