Harare, Zimbabwe — Apostle Joseph Guti, grandson of the late Archbishop Ezekiel Guti, has officially assumed leadership of the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith Ministries. He was ordained as the Presiding Bishop at a grand ceremony held on Sunday at the Africa Multination for Christ College (AMFCC) in Glen View, Harare.
The ordination event was attended by hundreds of congregants, as well as religious leaders from across the globe, signifying the wide reach and influence of the ministry. The momentous occasion marks a new chapter for the church, coming 14 months after the death of its beloved founder, Archbishop Ezekiel Guti.
Archbishop Guti, a national hero of Zimbabwe and a pioneer of the Pentecostal movement in the country, passed away in 2023. His passing left a significant leadership void, which has now been filled by his grandson, Apostle Joseph Guti, in what many see as a continuation of the Guti family’s spiritual legacy.
ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries, established in 1960, has grown into one of the largest Christian movements in Africa, with branches in over 140 nations. The church’s teachings emphasize faith, spiritual growth, and community development, principles that Apostle Joseph Guti has vowed to uphold as he takes on this critical leadership role.
