The Université Paris-Saclay offers IDEX scholarships to encourage international students to pursue master’s programs (nationally certified degrees) within its member institutions.
These scholarships aim to attract highly qualified international students, particularly those planning to develop academic or research projects leading to doctoral studies.

Scholarship benefits and duration
- A yearly scholarship of €10,000, provided by Université Paris-Saclay, for the academic year (September to June, at least 10 consecutive months).
- Up to €1,000 is available for travel and visa expenses, depending on the candidate’s country of origin.
- Scholarships are awarded for one or two years, depending on the student’s level of admission (M1 or M2) and subject to earning the required credits for progression.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible Students:
- • Newly admitted international students under the age of 30 during the selection year.
- International students living in France for less than a year and currently or previously enrolled in non-certification training or internships.
- International students residing in France for less than a year and taking language classes (e.g., FFL).
- Students who have previously lived in France through a mobility program (e.g., Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees or exchange programs) that did not lead to certification.
Ineligible Students:
- • All students have already enrolled in a French higher education institution, with the exception of those studying abroad.
- Applicants who have interrupted their studies for more than three consecutive years.
- Students receiving another scholarship exceeding €650 per month.
Application Instructions
To apply for this scholarship, students must first secure admission to a Université Paris-Saclay master’s program. Admission alone does not guarantee a scholarship.
Selected candidates will automatically receive an email with a link to the online application form. Only students who receive this email invitation can apply; unsolicited applications are not accepted.

- Deadline for admission to a master’s program: 5 May 2025.
- Deadline for scholarship application submission: 12 May 2025.
