The UCL Global Masters Scholarship is designed to support and encourage international students from lower-income backgrounds who wish to pursue full-time master’s degree programmes at University College London (UCL).

All postgraduate taught master’s programmes offered at UCL, except for distance-learning courses.
Number of Scholarships:
Up to 85 scholarships will be available for the 2025/26 academic year, with five specifically reserved for students from India.

International students from lower-income backgrounds
Scholarship Amount/Duration:
Each scholarship is valued at £15,000, which will be awarded for one year. If the master’s programme is two years long, the scholarship will be distributed in two equal payments, one for each year.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be eligible to pay the overseas fee rate.
- Come from a lower-income background, as defined by UCL (details can be found on the university’s essential information page).
- Have submitted an application for admission to a full-time master’s programme at UCL for the 2025/26 academic year.
Application Process:
To apply for this scholarship, applicants must first submit an application for admission to UCL, including references.
You do not need to have received an offer yet, but your fee status must be confirmed by UCL Admissions.
Applications must be submitted online by 5pm BST on Tuesday, May 8, 2025.
