Award winning actress ,voice over artist and film director Charlene Furusa released her much anticipated see me movie on Saturday 9th of December at Ster Kinekor in Borrowdale . The film features popular artists in the name of Nyasha David and Mwenje Mathole with the later also composing music featured in the film.

More than 200 Friends, family, mentors, collegues, and industry giants came out to support this stupendous piece of work.

The premier on Saturday was a huge success not only on a personal level but for the Zimbabwean film industry at large . The Zimbabwe film industry has been criticized for not producing qulity work that can compete globally but the introduction of SEE ME the movie seems to be a good step in the right direction.

SEE ME is a film focusing on the struggles young people living with HIV went through during the COVID 19 lockdowns. The hope of the director and her team is to begin discussions, probe questions and bring about social awareness on how we treat each other, regardless of current situations.

It’s a heartfelt deep dive into experiences of young people living with HIV/AIDS and how they were affected by Covid-19 lockdown restrictions using the 6 pillars of crea0vity: Film,Poetry, Music, Photography, Visuals and Dance.

These struggles include stigma discrimination, mental health, gender-based violence among others.

Speaking to online media charlene furusa said, Being kind to one another only makes us better it never takes anything away from us. In all things, our only hope is God.

Charlene assembled an excellent team of proffessionals to work with .Tafadzwa “Croft” Furusa was the director of photography ,edit and color grade , meanwhile renowned producer Sean Mambwere did an amazing work as the executive producer . Nyasha Zuze was vital in the role of photography design.
