Harare—Castle Lager, in partnership with the Mashonaland Turf Club, is proud to announce the return of the much-anticipated Castle Tankard Horserace, celebrating its 65th edition this year.

Set to take place on Saturday, 10 May 2025, the event will light up the Borrowdale Racecourse in Harare from 10 AM to 7:30 PM, promising an exhilarating day of horse racing and entertainment.

Widely regarded as Zimbabwe’s premier Grade One horse racing event, the Castle Tankard has long been a highlight on the local sporting calendar. With a grand prize of USD $50,000, the race attracts elite owners, jockeys, and trainers from across the country and beyond. The competition is fierce, the stakes are high, and the passion for racing runs deep.

Castle Lager has spared no effort in preparing for this milestone event. From the track to the entertainment stage, everything is set for a celebration of unity, culture, and world-class sport.
