Foreign nationals residing in South Africa have announced plans for a protest march on December 16th. The demonstration aims to highlight what they call the harassment of Ethiopian nationals and other foreign business owners, especially those operating spaza shops.

The marchers intend to proceed to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s residence and the Nelson Mandela Foundation to call for an end to the alleged mistreatment faced by their communities.

Although organizers have assured that the protest will be peaceful, they have stated that participants will be armed and ready to defend themselves if necessary. They issued a warning that they would respond with force, including the use of weapons, should they face confrontation from the group Operation Dudula.
