Former Chegutu West MP, Dexter Nduna, has come under scrutiny after allegations surfaced that he failed several Law modules at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), yet still participated in the graduation ceremony.
Fellow law graduates have accused Nduna of bypassing the academic requirements to earn a law degree, claiming he celebrated his graduation despite not being eligible. One graduate took to social media, criticizing Nduna’s actions, saying, “You should be embarrassed by this pathetic attempt to intimidate the UZ Law School,” referencing other prominent Zanu-PF officials who legitimately completed their law degrees.
The same post pointed out that Tafadzwa Mugwadi, a Zanu-PF MP and former party director of information, passed his modules and graduated fairly. Critics questioned why Nduna, also a Zanu-PF member, would face alleged bias, suggesting the issue might be personal incompetence rather than political discrimination.
The hawks newspaper has since challenged Nduna to present his graduation certificate to validate his credentials. Nduna has yet to publicly respond to the accusations.
