In the process, she damaged the clamp, leading to her being placed on Harare Traffic Enforcement’s wanted list.

Malloti Claims Unfair Targeting

In a video posted on her official Facebook page, Malloti defended her actions, stating she was unfairly targeted.

She explained that City Parking officers usually finish work at 4 PM, yet her vehicle was clamped after that time.

Additionally, she insisted that she had a valid parking ticket when the incident occurred.

“I had just parked briefly to accompany a friend who wanted to buy food at Food Box.

It was exactly 4 PM, and we assumed the parking officials had already left. Besides, I still had a valid ticket,” she explained.

Accusations of Bias Against Her Celebrity Status

Malloti believes her fame played a role in how she was treated. She recalled attempting to reason with the parking official but was met with hostility.

“The officer outright told me, ‘You think you deserve special treatment just because you are a celebrity.’

I asked where I was supposed to pay the fine that late, but they insisted I was trying to use my status to avoid penalties. Before I knew it, my car was clamped,” she recounted.

Justification for Driving Off

Defending her decision to flee, Malloti argued that it was a more cost-effective choice.

“I had to protect myself. If they had towed my car, I would have been charged around $300 in fines.

Instead, I damaged the clamp and only had to pay $70 for repairs. That was the better option,” she stated.
