Journalist Arrested over US$4 000.00 Extortion By Staff reporter Freelance Journalist, Patrick Chasaya appeared at the Harare Magiatrates Court on charges of extorting a local company after claiming he had damaging information about it's illegal activities. Chasaya allegedly contacted Ali Noshad and threatened to publish an article about the involvement of his company in black box money schemes, selling expired foam bath products, sex toys, immigration irregularities, and money laundering before demanding US$4 000 to halt publication of the article. The matter was reported to ZACC and the accused was arrested following a sting operation. Chasaya was granted $200 bail by Harare magistrate Ruth Moyo on Saturday.
