Sam had been struggling for a long time.According to reports from close family members it is alleged that His mother, Delia Maoko, often mistreated him, blaming him for her own problems after her marriage failed. Instead of dealing with her pain, she took it out on Sam.
A man named Lamech said that Delia’s abuse pushed Sam to take his own life. Many in the community were shocked and heartbroken when they heard the news. It showed how important it is to deal with emotional pain and get help when needed.
Delia was once well-known for raising awareness about COVID-19 on ZBC adverts, but now people are questioning why she didn’t address the problems that led to her son’s death.
The pastors at the burial ceremony tried to stop Lamech but he insisted that the body would not be buried . Sam was a young man with a bright future , he was only 25 years old and was a student from School of mines who was ready to start his own path in life
