Media personality and digital branding strategist Loraine Makhumalo Sibanda will host a women’s empowerment event titled Remarkable Woman: Letters, Light & Legacy on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The gathering will take place at the Iconic Conference Venue in Randburg, starting at 10:00 AM.

Organised by Sibanda’s boutique agency, Michiko PR, the event is designed to uplift and connect women from different sectors through the power of storytelling and personal branding. Tickets are currently on sale, ranging from R650 to R1 000.

Sibanda, a certified image consultant with over ten years of experience in public relations, branding, and events, is bringing together a lineup of influential speakers and creatives who embody resilience, purpose, and leadership. “I want to help women and creatives show up boldly and unapologetically in digital spaces,” she said.

Although Sibanda’s name made headlines years ago following a public dispute with former footballer and Mamelodi Sundowns manager Peter Ndlovu, where she accused him of neglecting their child in an open letter, her current focus is on building a legacy rooted in impact and empowerment.

The event’s themes — Letters, Legacy and Light — have been carefully selected to encourage women to reflect, connect with one another, and share practical tools for growth. The programme will include elements of music, fashion, and personal development to provide a holistic experience for attendees.

“This is a moment for women to pause, support one another, and focus on building their legacy with intention,” Sibanda said. The event is expected to draw over 50 women from different industries to celebrate Women’s Month in South Africa.

Founded in 2016, the Remarkable Woman platform has grown steadily, with past editions receiving support from brands such as Apollo Hotel, USN, Elle and Grazia Magazine, and Four Cousins.

Sibanda’s career has seen her work with high-profile personalities, including SAFTA award-winning actress Dawn Thandeka King, Netflix star Natasha Thahane, musician Bekezela, and media personality Vimbai Mutinhiri. She has also worked with prominent platforms like the SAFTAs and Africa Charity Awards.

Her agency, Michiko PR, continues to champion African storytelling, artist development, and digital visibility for women and creatives across the continent.
