CCC MP Fadzai Mahere has described the budget as a total failure and attack in the innocent citizens.
Chris Mutsvangwa on the other hand responded by attacking the personality of Mahere and labelling her as a clueless person
Journalist Hopewell had this to say on the exchange:
Removing Fadzayi Mahere from CCC Communications was one of the most terrible mistakes made by Nelson Chamisa this year.
It was even more ridiculous because the catastrophic decision was made during the middle of an election.
The fact that Mutsvangwa singles out Mahere shows how effective her communication skills are in dealing with everyday issues that affect our people especially from this anti-people budget.
Making a mistake happens, what matters is realising that you have made a mistake, and what you do about it.
Removing Mahere was a terrible mistake, fixing that mistake will be a sign of leadership.
As for Chris Mutsvangwa calling a grown woman like Mahere “a girl” is the kind of pettiness that we have come to expect from these ZANUPF failures.
They are hurting from Mahere’s effective scrutiny of their senseless budget, and they are in pain because she described it correctly as anti-people!
Who in their right mind imposes a “Hut Tax” on unemployed people whom they impoverished twice by stealing their pensions and their savings in 2009 and 2019?
What we learn from Mutsvangwa’s puerile attack against Mahere is that her effective communication is indeed crucial and it has unsettled the RUINING party.
Chamisa may understand that retaining skilled communicators can contribute significantly to his party’s ability to connect with the public.
