Nyasha Vanesa has issued a written apology dated 9 September 2025, addressing her husband Apostle T.F. Chiwenga, the Verenga and Chiwenga families, Jesus Revelation Ministries, journalists, friends, and the public. The apology comes after her writings on marriage drew attention and caused distress to those close to her.

In her letter, Vanesa acknowledged the pain her actions caused. “With a heavy and humbled heart, I write this letter to sincerely apologize to everyone I have wronged, especially concerning the personal matters of my marriage that I shared on social media,” she wrote. She said she now realizes the embarrassment and disappointment her actions created.

She directed part of her apology to the Verenga family, where she comes from, saying she regretted dragging their name into disrepute. “I sincerely apologize for dragging the family name down into the mud. I embarrassed you by making my private and marriage issues spill into the public,” she said. Vanesa also singled out her aunts, especially Sis Virgie, thanking them for their efforts to preserve her marriage.

To the Chiwenga family, Vanesa admitted that her marriage had become a public spectacle that dishonoured them. She expressed regret for ignoring counsel and acknowledged the shame her actions had brought. “I sincerely apologize for bringing embarrassment upon you,” she stated.

She also apologized to the public, friends, and well-wishers for exposing private issues in a way that she said should not have happened. Vanesa clarified that her books Beneath the Facade and The Quorum of Shadows were works of literature, not a reflection of her real marriage. “They are fiction. They are a contrast to my reality, not a mirror of it,” she wrote, adding that she was sorry for misleading anyone.

To Jesus Revelation Ministries, where her husband serves, Vanesa said she regretted the pain and confusion her writings had caused within the congregation. She described marriage as a covenant before God and said she was sorry for dragging the ministry into speculation and sorrow. “No words of mine can erase this, but I bow before you in humility to say I am truly sorry,” she said.

Addressing her husband directly, Vanesa said she misrepresented his character through her writings. “Once again, I apologize to you. I misrepresented the good person you are through my writing. I regret the pain and humiliation this has brought you,” she wrote.

She also extended her apology to journalists, saying she chose silence when they reached out to her, knowing that making her marriage issues public had been her first mistake. “I cannot align with any,” she stated, acknowledging the difficulty the situation placed on media professionals.
