Controversial podcaster MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho has once again come under fire after making crude remarks about media personality Minnie Dlamini during a recent episode of Podcast and Chill, aired in late April 2025.
While commenting on Dlamini’s split from Dr Brian Monaisa, MacG made an offensive joke questioning her hygiene, saying, “Maybe her coochie smells or something… especially with these hot girls.” The statement triggered a wave of backlash online, with critics condemning the remark as sexist and demeaning.
TV channel Moja Love publicly denounced the comments, while ANC Member of Parliament Khusela Diko called for stricter oversight of podcast content. Several public figures, including broadcaster Penny Lebyane and Dlamini’s ex-partner Dr Monaisa, criticized MacG and his co-host Sol Phenduka for reinforcing harmful stereotypes and attacking women’s dignity.
Dlamini herself did not respond directly, but posted videos on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), confidently asserting her worth and making it clear she won’t be defined by past relationships or public speculation.
This incident has reignited debate over MacG’s podcast, which has previously stirred controversy with remarks about celebrities like Amanda du Pont and Nkosazana Daughter. Despite growing pressure to de-platform the show, MacG has remained defiant, using his social media to promote his book Uncancelable, positioning himself as a victim of cancel culture.
