Pastor Charamba has finally spoken about the copyright issue with Jah Signal. In an interview the gospel musician stated that at some point this had to be done and the youngones needed to learn.
My concern mostly was the way they changed our lyrics to profane music and it is blasphemy to me ,he added. The Charambas’ have become a talk over the past month after they initiated a copyright strike on Jah Signals’ song which he copied their original version.
Baba Charamba also mentioned that there are others who were spared, the likes of King Shady who changed the song machira chete to a totally different song which meant something about bedroom issues.
He urged young superstars to focus on clean music which uplifts the society and helps people become better and not changing good music and make it bad .
This incident has also taught a lesson to many other artists who were stealing songs and getting away with it.
