Rapper Stunner has been acquitted by the Mbare Magistrate after being found not guilty in a domestic violence case.
On November 1, it was reported that the rapper had been arrested due to a civil imprisonment warrant.
Today, Stunner took to his social media to celebrate the verdict, writing:
“NOT GUILTY!!!! Stunner acquitted by the Mbare Magistrate.”
He added:
“I’m thankful to everyone who stood by me, especially Mtombeni and Associates.”
“HANDIROVE MUKADZI HAZVIZI MUYANGU SYSTEM”
(Translation: “I don’t beat women; it’s not in my system.”)
Stunner also shared a song he released seven years ago, featuring Guspy Warrior, in which he addressed issues of domestic violence against women, reiterating that he does not engage in such behavior.
Stunner, whose real name is Desmond Chideme, faced accusations of assaulting a young girl in Glen Norah. The incident allegedly occurred when Stunner’s daughter was playing with friends, and a fight broke out among the children.
According to the allegations, Stunner intervened to protect his daughter but ended up assaulting the nine-year-old girl and her guardian, Catherine Matiza.
