The wrestling community received heartbreaking news this Friday involving the uncle of WWE legend Rey Mysterio.
Mysterio’s uncle, Rey Misterio Sr., has passed away at the age of 66. The late wrestler’s son confirmed this tragic news with a post on Facebook. For those unfamiliar with Mysterio’s uncle, he started competing in the ring in 1976 before retiring in
2009.
Eventually, his nephew, Rey Mysterio, went on to become one of the best cruiserweight wrestlers the sports entertainment business has ever seen, winning the World Heavyweight Championship and earning a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.
