On February 23, 2025, a dramatic confrontation unfolded at the Rainbow Towers hotel in Harare, Zimbabwe, where Reverend Obadiah Musindo, a leader of the Destiny for Africa Network, narrowly escaped an altercation with a group of women.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute over an unpaid debt of $350, which one woman claimed Musindo had owed her for two years.
The situation escalated when the woman, supported by several others—including some identified as women MPs in posts on X—confronted Musindo at the hotel, demanding repayment.
According to social media accounts, Musindo dismissed the claims and allegedly nearly resorted to violence, prompting a fierce response from the group who labeled him a “conman” and stood their ground.
Reverend Musindo is no stranger to controversy. He has faced multiple legal and financial disputes over the years. In 2016, he was sentenced to 90 days of civil imprisonment by the High Court for failing to settle a $10,135 debt owed to Sipho Mazibuko, a Bulawayo modeling agency owner, stemming from a 2012 pageant.
More recently, in 2023, Musindo was arrested on allegations of defrauding a businessman of mobile phones worth nearly $6,000, a case in which he reportedly invoked the name of President Emmerson Mnangagwa to deflect accountability.
