Revelations have emerged dismissing a sensational report authored by controversial social media activist Hope Chizuzu regarding Scottland FC as a complete fabrication, with sources close to the club describing the piece as a malicious attempt at character assassination following an alleged failed extortion attempt.
The report, which alleged widespread corruption within the club’s administration and claimed that owner Hon. Scott Sakupwanya was pressured by his executive to release head coach Norman Mapeza, has been branded entirely baseless by those familiar with the club’s affairs.
Sources close to the development said Chizuzu never conducted an interview with Hon. Sakupwanya, directly refuting claims in the article that an exclusive interview took place while the club owner was on official business in Russia.
The direct quotes and internal scenarios attributed to Sakupwanya were allegedly manufactured to massage the writer’s ego and push a false narrative.
“The public is being fed outright lies,” said a source close to the club. “Chizuzu never spoke to Hon. Sakupwanya. Those quotes were fabricated from thin air, and the entire story is just a bitter response after his attempt to extort US$10,000 from the Scottland FC executive fell through.”
Insiders noted that Chizuzu’s operational history makes these tactics unsurprising to followers of domestic sports media.
Known for alleged extortion, his background remains heavily tainted by his reported involvement in the infamous Asiagate match-fixing scandal, in which his alleged unethical practices and compromise of sports integrity were brought into question.
According to sources, the latest alleged fabrications are simply part of a familiar pattern of coercive journalism intended to target prominent football administrators for financial gain. Stakeholders and football enthusiasts have been advised to disregard the report in its entirety.
