Popular Zimbabwean Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) star Themba Gorimbo and the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) have resolved their differences regarding the use of the Zimbabwean flag on Gorimbo’s fighting gear.
This comes after Gorimbo publicly criticized the SRC, alleging they were denying him permission to display the flag. In a statement released on 11 April, this permission has been granted.
Gorimbo met the SRC Director General Eltah Nengomasha in February to address the issue.
The 32-year-old wrote on X: “Met with SRC director general Eltah Nengomasha this aim to fix the flag on my kit issue and also work on building mixed martial arts sport in Zimbabwe. The meeting was good and needed.”
