ZIFA names Nees Warriors’ head coach. The Zimbabwe Football Association has appointed Michael Nees as the next head coach of Zimbabwe’s men’s national side, the Warriors.
The 57-year-old German will lead the Warriors in their quest for victory in the AFCON 2025 and FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers, ZIFA said in a statement on their X account on Tuesday.
“ZIFA believes that Michael Nees’ arrival will bring in a new era of success for the Warriors. His extensive experience, combined with his innovative coaching approach, make him the best candidate to guide our national team to new heights,” said ZIFA Normalisation Committee chairperson Lincoln Mutasa.
