He further said, “First and foremost I would like to thank Karma.” He recounted his steps that fateful day, explaining, “I went into Sainsbury’s to buy some stuff, so there was £3 change and I asked for a lottery ticket. I play online so I forgot this ticket.” It wasn’t until a later visit to the same store that he remembered to check the ticket, leading to an unexpected discovery.
Upon asking the shop assistant to check the ticket, he heard the unmistakable sound of a winning ticket. However, the slip advised, “Return ticket to owner and owner needs to call the national lottery.” He decided to wait until he was at home and relaxed before confirming the win.
