Harare, Zimbabwe – The Harare police are urgently seeking information on the whereabouts of Webster Mubati, who is wanted for the attempted murder of his girlfriend, Audrey Nyasha Rwambiwa.

The 25-year-old student at the Women’s University in Africa is currently in critical condition at Parirenyatwa Hospital after being repeatedly stabbed by Mubati in a violent altercation.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, around 3 a.m., when Audrey returned to their shared apartment in the Avenues area after attending a party.

According to Hmetro, an enraged Mubati confronted Audrey upon her arrival, leading to a heated argument.

During the altercation, Webster reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Audrey multiple times in a fit of rage. He stabbed her in her left breast, finger, arm, and ribs.

Desperate to escape, Audrey ran into the toilet, but Webster followed and continued the attack, stabbing her on the back and left shoulder.

Audrey managed to lock herself in the bathroom and later broke a window to escape.

She sought help from neighbours, who quickly responded and rushed her to Parirenyatwa Hospital, where she is currently being treated for her injuries.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed that they are investigating the incident and called for any information that may lead to Webster’s arrest
